# Niv 0.3.67

2026-10-17

- Niv at rest now costs almost nothing, even with the Maré theme: the sync dot and status and a Space’s background syncing no longer keep it busy
- Opening a long note no longer freezes Niv for most of a minute; it opens in a few seconds, and opening it again soon after is faster still
- Typing in a long note no longer gets slower the longer the note is, and the sidebar no longer redraws as you type
- The graph keeps up with big vaults: saving a note no longer rebuilds it, zooming stays smooth with 25,000 notes, and a large graph shows how far along it is while it arranges
- Syncing never undoes a rename you made in Niv, and never doubles text another device already sent
- Editing a note in another app while Niv is reading it no longer leaves the note waiting for you in Settings › Sync
- The History tab says it’s reading instead of showing an empty list, and a graph that can’t be read says so in plain words
- A file waiting for you in Settings › Sync shows how long it has really waited, even after Niv restarts
