Write together, keep your files

A Space is a folder of Markdown notes that more than one person writes in. Niv keeps everyone in step, and every note stays a file in each person’s own folder.

A Space, shared
Each Space is a local folder, synced. Join a Space and its notes arrive in a folder you choose: one folder, one Space.
The same note, at the same time
Open the same note and write together. Each person has a cursor with their name, and you can see who else is on the note.
Sync across your devices
Your notes sync wherever you sign in to Niv, at no cost.
Versions from the last 90 days
Each note keeps its versions from the last 90 days. Compare an earlier one with now and restore it.
What changed in the Space
The Space’s history says who added, moved, renamed or deleted what, and a deleted note can be brought back.
Offline, then in step
Niv works without a connection. Your edits stay in your files and sync when you’re back; when two people changed the same passage, Niv shows the overlap so you choose what to keep.
Private notes stay private
Keep a note or a folder local only and it never leaves your device, even inside a Space.
