# Members and roles

The people in a Space are its members. Each one has a role, and a few things are kept for owners and editors.

## See who's in a Space

Go to **Settings › Space**. **People** lists everyone in the Space, with you first. Someone who is in a note right now shows which one.

On Home, the line at the top shows the Space's name and how many people are in it, once there's more than one.

## Roles

- **Owner**: the person who creates a Space is its owner.
- **Editor** and **member**: the other roles a person can have.

Settings doesn't show each person's role yet.

## What owners and editors can do

- **Publish** notes, update their pages and unpublish them. Other members see whether a note is published, but can't change it. See Publish a note.
- **Change the Space's template settings.** See Templates.
- **Set the Space's time zone for shared notes.** See Daily and recurring notes.
- **Set up recurring notes for other people**, when the Space allows it. An owner chooses whether that's owners only, or owners and editors. Everyone can set up notes for themselves.
