Home is your day in one place: where you left off, what you wrote, and what happened in your Space. Open it with Home in the sidebar.

The opening

At the top, Niv greets you and points to where you stopped: the note you last wrote in, and when. Click it to pick up the thread.

Beside it, the Streak card counts the days in a row you wrote. Writing one line today keeps it going. A broken streak starts again with one line. The card also holds your daily note. See Daily and recurring notes.

The cards

• New note: just write. ↵ saves it as a note, ⇧↵ starts a new line. Right after, Open note opens it and Undo takes it back.

• Niv suggests: a few of your notes worth another look, such as one with no links yet.

• Graph: a preview of how your notes connect. Open the full graph opens it. See The graph.

• Calendar: the days you wrote. Pick a day to see what passed through it.

• Changed lately: notes that changed recently, so you can get back to them without searching.

• Quick actions: off at first. Add it from Customize.

Today in your Space

When your folder syncs with a Space, Home shows Today in and the Space's name:

• Here now: who is in which note right now.

• Changed today: notes created, moved, renamed or deleted since your day began. All of History opens the full list.

• Places where two people edited the same part of a note at the same time, with Review. See Writing together.

When you're the only one in the Space, Home says so, and fills in once someone joins.

Lines that need you

Short lines appear at the top of Home when something needs a look, such as an update that's ready, a Space plan to review, or a recurring note waiting to be started. When there are several, Show more opens the rest.

Make it yours

Choose Customize. Drag a card by its handle to reorder it, or use the arrow keys. Each card can be made wider or narrower, or hidden. Add hidden cards back from the bar at the bottom. Reset layout brings back the original. Choose Done when you're finished.

When your day starts

Your streak and calendar start a new day at midnight. To move that, see Settings › General › Your day ends at.
